"JavaScript" is not "Java". It doesn't have anything to do with Java — The name "JavaScript" was made up by marketing people, and unfortunately it stuck. Its official name is "Ecmascript" (see http://www.w3.org/). But everybody is used to calling it "javascript", so we will also – for now.
