what is it?

Have you noticed how a lot of websites have a little image in the address bar? Look at the address bar of this page and you should see one.

here's how

1. You make a small image in png format, 16x16 pixels in size.
2. Then upload to to one of the nice websites which will convert it to ico format. One of them is dynamicdrive.com
3. Upload this favicon.ico to your website in the main directory, and put some code in your web pages telling the browser that the favicon is there.
